At my current client site, we are ‘required’ to have at least two of the following messengers open on the computer we are working on: Yahoo!, MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) or ICQ… Having all those open at once got a little ugly on my poor little laptop, so I looked for a solution.
I found Trillian and tried it out for a week before making this recommendation: It works and works well! This program will consolidate all the above messengers plus a few I’ve never heard of into one easy-to-use interface, which produces none of the annoying banners or pop-ups that the other messengers do. There are no ads or spyware included. I love it and want to share it - try it out.

I’ve been using Trillian for over a year now and I have a report: Trillian rocks! For years I’ve been wanting one instant messenger program to join all the services and this is it. They seem like a pretty together company. Whenever AOL has tried to block them from connecting with AIM, they make a patch in about 20 minutes to fix the problem!
Have you checked out the latest version of trillian? I just got it yesterday. The wikipedia automatic lookup is interesting. Wondering your thoughts. It might even be worth a new post.

Hi-
I want to try Trillion but am concerned that it will affect/interfere with my ACT! software. I understand it consolidates (takes over and controls) all contact management programs/outlook address book. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
