With a brain a third the size of us, it's science. This isn’t much of a movie review as the movie isn’t released until 9 July 2004, so consider this a trailer review.

Will Ferrell returns to hit socal roots to play a 70’s anchorman for Channel 4 News team in San Diego. So I guess that means: funny and filled with hot girls. The trailer and an exclusive clip are available in many formats and sizes. “You pooped in the refrigerator?…I’m not even mad, that’s amazing.”

Will Ferrell is THE comedian right now. Last year brought us Old School and the Harvard Class Day speech.

Sara, if we go to just one movie this year, and that’s a real possibility, it’s gonna be Anchorman.

[Marlin] Look! A blue whale! He's going to eat us! [Dory] No, don't worry. Blue whales only eat krill... oh, look; krill... [both when blue whale comes quickly toward them] Waaaaaaa!

You can’t help but expect something funny when Pixar Studios produces a movie featuring what looks like a clown fish and has Disney market it. Not only has Pixar done a fantastic job of making the movie move through the action of searching for Nemo, but they have also managed to assign a lot of very human attributes to fish and successfully depict some easily recognizable human social situations (using a crosswalk, meeting the dude from california and farting on a first date).

More information on the movie here…

In anticipation of the movie, I would say that there are two things to celebrate this Saturday:

1. Finding Nemo officially released
2. All of the people buried in CFA studies throughout the spring will have taken their exam and they can now come our with their friends and grab a drink!

Enjoy your weekend everybody!

There is no spoon...

Follow the white rabbit...

The release of one of the most anticipated films of the year (right along with Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and X-Men… and maybe Charlie’s Angels) is upon us. It is predicted to be a blockbuster of enormous magnitude and breaks numerous film release dogma by releasing “The Matrix: Revolution” in November.

Just watching the final preview has me jittering with anticipation and you can catch many more of them at the Warner Bros Matrix site

There are a bunch of other little snippets of information that WB did a great job of putting out there. They had the preview at the Super Bowl and a backdoor to the matrix site, along with some very cool posters and some great sound tracks.

It takes a man to give away an angel. If I had to say just one thing, it would be “See Old School, See Old School, See Old School!” The three actors each add a character you either relate too, or see very clearly in one of your friends. This is definitely a movie to see in the theaters, not for any special effects, but just so you don’t have to wait to buy it on DVD. I tried to pre-order it already, but it’s not available yet. This movie will be in all of our collections.

Other things people have said about it:

* “Stop whatever you’re doing and go see Old School – what a riot.” – Yarnold
* “Which one are you?” – Sara

Officer! My brother is driving drunk!

With the release of the cult classic “The adventures of Bob and Doug McKenzie; Strange Brew” on DVD (Oct 1st, 2002) and today being Canadian Thanksgiving, it was time to review the classic of these two beer guzzling hosers.

Although loosely based on Hamlet, the similarities are negligable; the brewery is run by the dead man’s brother who married the widow shortly after the death (which was hardly accidental). Anything for a story-line, eh? Well, Bob and Doug will save the day.

Really this is a hit-or-miss for anyone who views it – there are no luke warm feelings after this movie: Either you thought it was the worst movie since Kentucky Fried Movie or you think it’s the best movie since KFM! Any way you end up feeling, you will learn the origin of the ‘take off hoser!’ or ‘it’s a beauty, eh?’… if you watch the whole thing that is… :)

Cinematic education for ALL beer guzzling hosers!

I love it and I can’t get enough of it. For me it’s a winner every time.
